DOES IT TASTE FISHY?

Our HYDRO products are unflavored, except for some that have the taste of the berry mixtures they contain. However, this does not mean that marine collagen is entirely tasteless. This is because marine collagen is a natural product derived from large, wild-caught North Atlantic cod. The other ingredients in the HYDRO range are also natural. Therefore, the taste may vary slightly from time to time. nla

WHY IS VILD NORD MARINE COLLAGEN THE BEST?

Vild Nord's marine collagen is the best because it comes from one of the earth's purest and finest resources: North Atlantic cod. The unique aspect of marine collagen is its complete amino acid profile. This means our collagen contains all 20 amino acids, including the 9 essential ones that the body cannot produce on its own.

Marine collagen from Vild Nord has a low molecular weight of just 3 kDa – the smaller, the better, as it ensures optimal absorption in the body.

Last but not least, Vild Nord's marine collagen complies with all EU limits for both PFAS and heavy metals. The collagen is analyzed by a third party, ensuring that the product does not exceed the threshold values.

HOW FAST DOES IT WORK?

Our marine collagen has a visible effect already after 8-12 weeks. To achieve an optimal effect, take your collagen every day. This applies no matter which of our collagen products you choose.

IS THERE PFAS IN VILD NORD’S COLLAGEN?

No, it is safe to consume collagen from Vild Nord. Our collagen has been assessed as a low-risk product with regard to PFAS. You can read more about it in our blog post on PFAS.

WHAT ABOUT HEAVY METALS?

In Denmark, there are threshold values for the content of three heavy metals in fish products: cadmium, mercury, and lead. As long as a product stays within the threshold values, the content of heavy metals poses no safety risk. We have chosen cod as the source for our product because it is not a large predatory fish, where heavy metals typically accumulate. All Vild Nord collagen is tested by third parties, so we always have a guarantee that the product does not exceed the legal limits.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN IT SAYS “MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF CRUSTACEANS AND MOLLUSKS”?

Vild Nord products state that they may contain traces of crustaceans and mollusks. This is a warning for people with allergies. Traces can come from the facilities that produce our collagen, which also handle products containing shellfish. Even though it is not produced on the same equipment as our collagen, traces cannot be ruled out. Therefore, it’s something to be aware of if you have severe allergies. If you are still unsure, you can always consult your doctor.

CAN COLLAGEN WITHSTAND HEAT?

Our COLLAGEN CLEAN PROTEIN is heat-resistant and can be mixed into anything from coffee to porridge. The other products contain vitamin C, which loses some of its effectiveness when heated. Collagen powder dissolves when it comes into contact with moisture or at temperatures above 25°C. We therefore recommend storing your Vild Nord product dry, in a sealed container away from direct sunlight, and at a maximum of 25°C.
